On This Day in History:
March 11th has been an interesting day though out the years. Two years ago in 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 as a pandemic. In 1961 the first Ken doll was released. Later that decade in '69 Levi Jeans, the popular jeans brand, added bell-bottoms as one of their popular styles. --Priscilla

Teacher Spotlight
This month our teacher spotlight is Mrs. Henny, the second grade teacher. She said that what brought her to CCA was the call to put her daughter in a Christian school. When she did, Mr. Ballard, our former administrator asked what she did for a living. She avoided the topic at first, but it came to light that she had a teaching degree. She has had her teaching degree for 12 years. She subbed, then she taught for one year, she then homeschooled for a year, and now she has taught at CCA for three years. She has been married to her husband for 11 years. They have one daughter, Sarah, in 5th grade. They have two golden retrievers and a bunny. She says her husband feeds the birds and the squirrels, so he also considers them pets. She attended high school at Lone Jack High School. She attended college at the University of Central Missouri. She says her favorite bible verse changes depending on the circumstances. Psalms 27:14, ”Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, i say, on the Lord.” When asked what she enjoys doing in her free time she said that there is not much free time, but in the summer she enjoys running, fishing, boating, and riding four wheelers. --Marlee
