Starfish of the week...
From Susan Mishler to Kathy Owen for her extra efforts around the building and for bringing a large group of students together to get Builder's Club up and running.
From Cheryl Pearson to Heather Griffith for her support and flexibility with all her students. She wants all students to succeed.

Are they posted? Updated everyday? Are they measurable for that class period? Are your lesson plans in the green binder? Are your lesson plans easily accessible and updated?

The two gentlemen conducting our climate audit are Dr. Steve Yager and Mr. Rick Vorick. Each has been in education for the past several decades. Please feel free to be open and honest with them. From the Darkside
With only 64 days, 7 hours, and 30 minutes (from this writing) until the premire of Star Wars Episode VII, I thought a pun on ‘Darkside’ was appropriate. Fall Break is right around the corner. When leaving the building on Wednesday, please remember our basic ‘shut down’ procedures:
shut everything down - computers (teacher station and student stations), speakers, projectors, Smart Boards
unplug as much as you can WITHOUT standing on chair - do not unplug stuff in the ceiling.
Thats it!! Thats all it takes.
School Safety #4
Please discuss what you would do during team meeting and work together on what would be a good plan for you and your students. This is not an opportunity to talk about "what-if's" or complaints, it is a serious reflection of "what you would do" if presented with the scenario:
You are walking down the hall towards the office area. You pass by a couple of students, say hello, and move on. Approaching you is a student on crutches. You say hello, but there is no response. The students face is pale and is appearing to ‘wobble’ on their crutches. What do you do?
Remember to log discussion of School Safety responses in your team meeting minutes.
Have a great week. Have a great break!!Shawn J
