The Tale of Archy the Barn Cat
By Mackenzie Pickett
ARCHY
Once upon a time, there was a cat named Archy who lived in a garage. One night Archy decided to go catch himself some dinner in the field. As he entered the field, the grass brushing along his brown and black striped legs, he saw the shadow of a coyote. He decided that he would continue onward, because he heard a cotton tail rabbit hopping through the bushes. He began stalking the rabbit, who's name was Timothy.
TIMOTHY
Once upon a time, the was a little cottontail rabbit named timothy who lived in a field. One night, Timothy thought he heard something walking quietly through the grass. As he peered through the bush, he learned that he had been correct. There stood a fat brown and black cat, looking for dinner
ARCHY
Archy began to move silently towards Timothy, planning his attack. As soon as he had his plan formulated, he quickened his pace. He soon reached the patch of bushes that Timothy was hiding in, and leapt, claws outstretched, teeth bared, towards the bush.
TIMOTHY
He heard the cat soaring through the air, and his instincts took over. He sprinted further into the bushes, striving to get away from the murdering cat. Dodging obstacle after obstacle, he soared through the air. He had made it to the clearing, where he could run freely from the cat, no longer having to worry about the obstacles that would prove to be difficult for the Cat.
ARCHY
The large cat quickly scrambled over obstacle after obstacle, this proving to be more difficult than he expected. He thought that he could see a clearing up ahead, but he knew that he may not make it. He soon reached the clearing and looked at his surroundings. He could not see or hear a single living thing in sight. The chase was over. Timothy had won.
