CFES Travel Plan for Parents

Destination Excellence

Week of October 5th

Terrific Tuesday CFES Community! Thank you for being the great examples you are for your children. All of our September CFES Cares opportunities had amazing participation! The First Responders loved their cards, CFES really did "stuff the bus" for less fortunate students and the peanut butter drive to support local food insecure families resulted in record high jars of donated peanut butter ! The spirit of CFES is alive and well and certainly a daily example of Destination Excellence! We continue to be examples of what is good in this world!

As the first quarter of the school year comes to close this Friday, I would like to thank all of you for a terrific start. Beginning of the year assessments are complete and our paths to excellence are clear. Thank you for partnering with your child's teacher to help assure they reach their full potential. I have enjoyed seeing so many of our volunteers and guests back on campus and appreciate every volunteer moment.

Enjoy your long weekend. The staff will all be here Monday preparing for a busy and successful second quarter and continuing to take our own learning to new heights!

Teacher Support

Teacher Support is a great way to volunteer at CFES without any regular commitment. Starting Friday, 1 October, on the first and third Friday afternoons (1:30-3:30) as well as the second and fourth Thursday mornings (9:30-11:30), simply stop by the activity room at school (no signup needed) and give our teachers a hand with one of the many projects they need to complete for our kids. Tasks are often very simple but time-consuming for one teacher, such as cutting or assembling packets. We welcome any time you have to give - even twenty minutes on your way home from errands helps. Although we can't be with our kids during school hours yet, this is a great opportunity to help out and finally be a smiling face in our halls again.

Watch D.O.G.S

Classrooms and the cafe are now open to our Watch D.O.G.S.! We have a revised schedule for our Watch D.O.G.S., which is below. Please remember to apply to volunteer every year. It may take a couple of weeks to process. It is required that the application be processed and complete prior to visiting the campus as a Watch D.O.G.S. You will receive a confirmation email once you are approved. Thank you for being our Watch D.O.G.S., as you are providing a positive and active male role-model for students during their school day, and you are an extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security. Please see our flyer below for more detailed information.

CFES Cares Peanut Butter Drive

We have truly come together to support our community through our Peanut Butter Drive. Our Creekside Forest Cougars have collected 6,600 pounds of peanut butter! It is truly amazing to see how caring we are, feeding so many families and helping with food insecurity. We are fortunate to have such a compassionate community. Tuesday, October 5th, the top three classes who brought in the most peanut butter will be announced. The Cheesecake Factory has graciously agreed to provide lunch for those three classes. Thank you so much, everyone!

  • If your child tests positive for COVID the district requires that you complete the Report Positive COVID Student the day you learn they are positive.
