Principal Chat

Here it is, the end of April. We are quickly moving to summer break where the school will be busy preparing for the upcoming school year. Compared to year #1 "opening a new school in the middle of a pandemic" I feel this year has been a breeze and I am super excited to see what our 3rd year brings!

Please keep up on your emails and social media if possible as these are the first methods of communication with parents.

Have a terrific weekend!

Breakfast & Lunch Next School Year

Our hearts are broken to announce this.....the flyer below explains that beginning NEXT school year, breakfast and lunch are no longer automatically free for students. Instead, parents will need to complete the free/reduced meal application through Aspire. The new application will be available in July. We will notify parents when the application is available. FREE or REDUCED meals will apply to students based on parent income, homeless status, and SNAP status.

Dinner, which students receive when attending BASE, our after school program, will still be FREE for students.

Vision Screening

This year the state requires all students in grade K, 1, 3 and 5 to have their vision screened at the school. When you completed registration you provided the school permission to complete the vision screening. A few parents selected the "opt out" of vision screening option. If you selected this option your child was not screened.

Our school nurse has been completing these vision screenings. If there is a suspected "issue" with your child's long distance vision, you will receive an email from our school nurse, Vicki Ross.

Library Books

All library books are due back by May 13th. If parents have questions regarding what book their child has, they can email Mrs. Langhaim Kaylie@BridgeCharter.org or students can check in with the librarian to determine which books are still checked out.

Last Book Fair of the Year - Buy One Get One FREE May 17 - 20

Our last book fair is BOGO!!! This is everyone's favorite book fair of the year!

May 17 - May 19 AFTER school 3:20 - 4:30 PM

May 20 Friday - 1:30 - 6:00 PM

Testing Begins on Monday

We are in the final stretch of the school year with no more breaks until Monday, May 30, for Memorial Day.

End of year testing will begin on Monday and will include ESGI and KEEP (kindergarten), Imagine Learning Reading and Math (K-6), Galileo (1st - 6th), Acadience reading and math (K-6), and RISE (3rd - 6th). In between testing sessions students will continue with their regular rotations and instruction.

It is ESSENTIAL that your kids attend school, on time, well rested and well fed during testing.

Registration for Next School Year

If your child is registered to attend Bridge next year, your circumstances have changed and your child will no longer be attending Bridge, PLEASE let the office know ASAP. We are full in every grade except 5th grade and still have 100s of kiddos in the lottery waiting for a spot to open up.

BMX Assembly

We are super excited to have the Stunt Masters BMX team at Bridge on May 6th for an outdoor assembly!

ID Required to Check Out Students

PLEASE make sure you, or whomever is checking out your students, have their ID ready. Our office staff know MANY parents, but we do not know every person on your checkout list. Also, make sure the person who is checking out your child is listed in Aspire with a GREEN arrow indicating they are allowed to check out your student. If you are unsure how to navigate Aspire, contact our office staff (801)499-5180.

Math in May Family Night

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - We are hosting a fun filled "Math in May" family night on May 11, 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

We will serve FREE dinner to all who attend! We just solidified the menu - orange chicken, rice, stir fried vegetables, fortune cookie and juice!!!

Families will have multiple stations to visit to play math games - tables filled with information regarding the math curriculum used at Bridge - and an estimation station in the foyer for a chance to win prizes by guessing how many items are in a jar. Each time a student visits a station and completes an activity they will earn a ticket for a prize drawing. Parents and guardians who attend will also receive tickets for an adult prize drawing.

PLEASE excuse your child's absence by:
