Congratulations Class of 2024!
Graduation is one of the many milestones in a student's life. It can be an emotional time for both you, as parents, and your student. You have every reason to be happy and proud.
Both you and your student are to be commended for your hard work and achievement. Your student has accomplished much in their years at Park Hill High School. As parents, you have been a source of support and encouragement to your student, and we share in your pride at this important milestone in your student's life.
It is important to us to provide frequent and updated communication regarding our senior events and we are happy to provide this newsletter to keep you informed. This newsletter will be updated as new information comes in so check the newsletter on a regular basis. This newsletter link will also be posted on the PHHS website.
What You Need to Know About Graduation
- Directions to the venue can be found at the top of the newsletter.
- There is no reserved seating and no tickets.
- All guests are expected to remain seated. Please no standing at the railing.
- Graduates will be admitted to the building at 6:00 p.m.
- Guests will be admitted to the building at 6:15 p.m.
- Graduates and guests will enter at the East Entrance. Graduates will go to the lower level for staging. Guests will go to the upper level for seating.
- No outside food or drinks allowed in the venue. Concession stands will be open.
- All parking lots will be open and free of charge.
- Handicap Accessibility: Enter at the East Entrance. The elevator is located immediately behind the Guest Services desk. There will be handicap seating available however there are no extra wheelchairs available.
Graduation Dress Code
Graduates are to report to Hy-Vee dressed and ready to go in cap and gown.
- Caps and gowns are to be worn by all graduates.
- Graduates should wear dress shoes, dress shirts, ties and dresses.
- Caps are positioned level on the head with the tassel on the right.
- Caps & gowns must be worn as issued and not disfigured in any way (no tape, signs, arm bands, leis, flowers, unapproved cords, etc.).
- Approved cords that can be worn are for NHS, Thespians, AVID, Tri M, AP Capstone, Quill & Scroll, Debate and LEAD.
Senior Salutes - Last Day to Purchase is November 21st
Senior Salutes are a "celebratory" message that family members can add to the yearbook for their graduating student. Prices vary by size. Senior Salutes may be purchased at https://yearbooksforever.com . See the PHHS website or the PHHS Facebook page for details. For questions, please contact Mr. Sweney at sweneym@parkhill.k12.mo.us .
The last day to purchase senior salutes is November 21st. No orders will be accepted after the deadline.

Junior Exec Presents PH Prom 2024 - MASQUERADE
Who: Juniors and Seniors and their guests

Advanced Placement Exams (AP)
Park Hill High School will be administering Advanced Placement (AP) exams on May 1 - May 12. A detailed schedule of dates, times and tests can be found by clicking on the link below.
The AP test fee is $100 per exam, except AP Research/AP Seminar which are $145. If your student signed the commitment form, they will be charged the test fee which will appear on their Infinite Campus account under the "Fees" tab.

LEAD Senior Cording Ceremony
The LEAD Senior Cording Ceremony will be on Monday, May 13 at 6:30pm at the Park Hill South Auditorium.

Senior Breakfast and Graduation Practice
Friday, May 17!!
A free, optional breakfast will be served from 8:00AM - 8:45AM in the cafeteria.
All seniors who plan to participate in graduation are REQUIRED to attend graduation practice from 9:00AM - 11:00AM in the lower gym. Caps and gowns are not needed for practice.
This is also a good time for seniors to pay any remaining fines at the bookkeeping window.
Seniors who do not plan to participate in graduation should email Mrs. Melott at mailto:melottda@parkhill.k12.mo.us .
Diploma Distribution
Graduates will receive a blank red diploma holder on stage and will pick up a large packet containing their diploma after the ceremony at tables near the graduate seating area. All fines must be paid in full for a graduate to receive their diploma. If a student has a fine, they will be notified by the bookkeeper in mid-April and parents can also check fine status in Infinite Campus. If you will be paying by cash or check, please clear up these fines by noon on Friday, May 17. Fines collected by cash or check after noon on Friday will not be assessed to the students account until Monday, May 20 and the student will be unable to pick up their diploma after graduation. Fines paid by credit/debit card will be reflected on the student's IC account immediately.

Graduation Program
Each graduate will receive 2 copies of the 2024 Graduation Program in their diploma envelope. We will print a limited amount of programs to pass out to guests at graduation so we encourage you to use the QR that will be provided to receive a digital copy.
