The School Leaders' Edition: May 2nd-8th

TO SCHOOL LEADERS

Thank You

This week my message is simple. Thank you. Thank you for the amazing work you have all put in during the last few weeks. Building testing schedules, making sure everyone knows where to go, and keeping each student motivated throughout the day is no easy task.

However at each campus I have visited, I watch you each do all of this while still keeping a smile on your face and carrying out your other school leader responsibilities.

Thank you for not only showing outstanding leadership but also making sure that each person on your campus is staying focused. We may only have a few weeks left but the intensity you are demonstrating is going to mean that our Rocketeers have that many more weeks of amazing instruction.

Thank you!!!

Announcements

It is difficult to believe but we are nearing the end of the school year. In order to continue to support with planning, our planning specialists will be creating two weeks of preview or review mini units for each of their grades.

Kinder, Grade 1, and Grade 2 will be previewing their upcoming grades' content (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5, will be reviewing content from this past year based on trends that they have seen in data. TK's SSM continues until the end of the year so they will not have a preview or review unit.

Linked is a calendar of the dates for the weeks that these units will be planned for both Nashville and BA/Milwaukee. Please note which days teachers will be responsible for planning. As a leadership team, please on align on the expectations for the final days of the school year, the days that common plans will not be provided. Please cross-check the instructional and your school calendar as some of these days are half days due to conferences and you also may have school specific events.

Please reach out with any questions about plans or dates.
