Asa Packer Families,


Our community has worked extremely hard to maximize safety measures at Asa Packer Elementary School. Unfortunately, there are times when as hard as we try, there are still things we cannot control.


As previously announced by Dr. Roy, All Bethlehem Area District Schools will be moving hybrid learners to a remote model starting on Monday, December 14, 2020 - Friday, January 8, 2021. We will return to hybrid learning on Monday, January 11, 2021.


Our dedicated staff, have been working to get the hybrid students comfortable with all online platforms during on-stage days.


  • E-classroom students will continue with e-learning. There will be no adjustments to the e-classroom schedules.
  • Hybrid students who have been attending school in person on Tuesday and Thursday will now have teacher-led instruction via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Hybrid Students who have been attending school in person on Wednesday and Friday will now have teacher-led instruction via Zoom on those Wednesday and Friday.
  • Off-stage days for hybrid students will remain the same. During offstage days, students will continue to work on Google Classroom assignments. Please contact your child’s teacher with specific questions.


What can you expect from us?


  • A daily hybrid classroom schedule from your child’s teacher which includes a blend of live and online teacher-led instruction, in addition to independent and collaborative work
  • Zoom sessions to conduct live class sessions
  • Instructional materials posted in Google Classroom and Clever for students to view and complete independently
  • Continued communication through Class Dojo, email, and phone calls
  • Off-stage Related Arts Classes - Students should continue to work on all related arts classes during the week


Asa Packer Elementary School will continue to use Class Dojo, Zoom, ParentLink and email to communicate with our families.

Meal Distribution during BASD Short Term Remote Learning Schedule

Come pick up free breakfast and lunches during the BASD Short Term Remote Learning days. Our meal distribution sites are open Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10:00am to 5:00pm on December 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd, and January 4th and 6th. Meals can be picked up from any middle school or the following three elementary schools: Donegan, Fountain Hill and Marvine. Meals are FREE and available for all BASD students in addition to all children age 18 and under. Please come and get up to 14 FREE meals for each week on us!

If your child was possibly exposed to or is exhibiting COVID symptoms, please contact our health office staff. They will be in contact with you about the various procedures.
