Celina Primary School
Where the Learning Adventure Begins
January 11, 2018
Welcome back! I hope all of you had an amazing break and you were able to spend some good, quality family time together over the holidays.
I know it may be hard to believe, but we are mid-way through the 2017-18 school year. Report cards for the 2nd 9 weeks go home this week. If you ever have a question or concern about your child's academic progress, do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher.
The window to have your child screened for our Gifted and Talented program has just opened. Applications for Celina ISD’s Gifted and Talented Services will be accepted now through January 29th for kindergarten students.
Parents of students in kindergarten who wish to apply for the GT screening, should contact their child’s teacher to receive the appropriate forms and more information on the screening process.
We are so proud of our students and want to celebrate their learning with you. Next Friday, January 19th is our Celebration of Learning Assembly at 2:30 PM. During this assembly, we will recognize students who have gone above an beyond in their specials classes and demonstrated Bucket Filler kindness behaviors towards one another. Also, we will recognize those with perfect attendance. We will have a drawing to award one lucky student with perfect attendance a new bicycle. Your child's teacher will contact you if your child will be receiving an award.
Go Bobcats!

A Note from Nurse Bullin
Here are some friendly reminders in case your child gets sick at home or school:
- If you child is ill please contact the school to let us know he or she won’t be attending that day.
- If your child has a fever over 100 degrees, he or she must be fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications before returning to school.
- Students must be free from vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours without medication before returning to school.
Please note that if a student is absent or sent home by the nurse, with any of the above conditions, and returns to school before the 24 hours is up, parents will be notified for pick up.
