Religion is no longer a spectator sport, an observing of some distant, far-off truth, but it’s an observing of what is true in me, and what is true in me is true of the cosmos. It’s all one reality. Frankly this makes the job of evangelization — if we want to use that.

Christian word — much easier because we’re not bringing in an extraneous message. We’re simply naming what is.

School Updates

Supervision After School

Thank you so much for clearing school promptly at the end of the day. It was also fantastic to see too that all children waiting for siblings in Mondays after school soccer clinic were being actively supervised. We really appreciate your support.

Storm Repairs - Trees

Following last week’s storm, we were fortunate to see minimal damage. There are bits of trees requiring removal and we are in the queue to get that done. In case you were wondering, we have a significant maintenance schedule because we have so many big (and beautiful) trees. All our trees are inspected annually by an arboriculturist who makes recommendations for treatment. This inspection is followed by an onsite meeting between the arboriculturist and a tree surgeon to finalise and enact the recommendations. Plenty of work gets done.

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful and exciting Term 3, especially our Library Monitors who celebrated yesterday. Book Week has made it super special and I hope the students enjoyed it as much as I did. Students from Year 1 are able to borrow books over the holidays, I please just ask that as per HR Policy, any damaged or lost books are replaced at the start of Term 4. Some students have had overdue books for the whole term so please also replace any missing books over the holidays. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Happy holidays!

Hot Tip for State Government Employees

Did you know most State Government departments offer their employees two, paid days of Community Involvement Leave each year?

These days could be utilised well to help in the school canteen without having to use one of your precious annual leave days! Working in the canteen is also a great way to meet other awesome parents and see the kids smiles at lunch time.

To join the canteen fun (it is not hard or scary) please email admin@hrs.wa.edu.au or text Leanna on 0414 953 958.
