Happy day, da Vinci Families,

It is a bittersweet moment, as we say our farewells and "see you later" to our students. This year has presented itself with a few twists and turns, with the adjustment back to in person schooling and all things covid. However, there were many opportunities to weave in meaningful instruction and arts based activities for our students. Our students are so talented and being back together in person to make sure our students continue to have access to the arts has been so worth it.

Through it all, I am amazed at the way our community pulls together to make attending da Vinci a reality for so many of our kiddos - from organizing carpools or neighborhood bus routes/transportation to showing up to performances and supporting our young artists. As we continue to pull together to support our students, please take an opportunity to join our PTSA. Joining PTSA is a great way to provide tangible support that can be so impactful on the educational experience of our students.

In order to sustain the PTSA and all of the support they provide da Vinci students and staff, we really need PTSA Board Members for the 2022-23 school year. If interested, see the PTSA section of the newsletter.

It has truly been an honor being principal of da Vinci and leading our school. I can't wait to welcome you all back in the fall.

The office will be open during regular school hours for one more week if you need to pick up medications, artwork from the gallery, check the lost and found, etc.

If your student was absent on Friday and did not get their yearbook, you can pick one up this coming week. We had one for each student and handed them out on Friday.

If your student returned their computer but left their charging cord at home, we would love to get those back. Return it this week or take good care of it over the summer so you have one for next year. We will also happily take library books.

Are you missing keys or earbuds or glasses? A cute little wallet with "Collage" gift cards? Did your student work hard on a ceramic piece of art and forget to bring it home? The office will be open through this week if you want to come by and claim your things. We are trying to clean up!
