Who was he?
George Washington Carver was an american botanist. He was born on January 5, 1964 and he passed away at the age of 79 on January 5, 1943 the day of his birthday. He was born in Diamond, Missouri and died in Tuskegee, Alabama. He received many awards and honors in 1939 he received a Roosevelt medal from the university of Rochester. his first award was outstanding service to the welfare of the south from the catholic conference of the south.
Carver grew up with his mother and dad were being a slaved and his mother was later to be kidnapped and his dad died in an accident. so he grew up with his brother and Moses and Susan Carver. George is known as the "plant doctor". He got that name because he was very interested in plants and he had a secret garden where he grew all sorts of plants and flowers.

George Washington Carver went to Minneapolis High School as a Teen and after that he went to lowa state university and then went to Simpsons college. he was the inventor of peanut butter! and several other peanut products. for challenges he was a slave and he got kidnapped as a child then he spent most his life on the farm growing up. i think thats were he learned how to make peanut butter.
