Greetings Families,
I hope this email finds you and your family well. November is going to be bustling with many activities and events at SHR. We have successful completed the first marking period and Quarter 1. As a team, we are reflecting on student data and making necessary instructional adjustments.
All students have received their Marking Period 1 report card and their attendance data. Please review the Report Card and the Attendance Reports mailed home.
We appreciate all the families that joined one of our Family Engagement Sessions for the month of October. We truly appreciate your time!. We hope that you will be able to join us for one of our upcoming activities and/or events. Please see additional opportunities to Connect, Share, and hear from Invited Guests. I will be hosting varies Breakfast and Chat sessions. Please join if your schedule permits.

FREE SAT PREP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brooklyn College TRiO Talent Search Program to share information about our free SAT Prep! Brooklyn College TRiO Talent Search is a federally-funded opportunity program for middle & high school students.
We are offering FREE SAT Prep for 10th-12th graders. It will run virtually from November 1, 2022–December 1, 2022, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4pm-6pm. Students are encouraged to apply ASAP to reserve their spot!
Please share this info & the flyer attached with any students/families that are low-income, first-generation, or in need of additional support. Seeds of Fortune Inc. is a nonprofit scholars program, based out of NYC, creating the next generation of financially empowered young women of color by helping them apply for college scholarships while teaching career and financial management skills.

PTA Corner
PTA Updates: We just finished our PTA membership drive. Thank you to those of you who joined and our newly elective executive board. We really appreciate your support and willingness to be a part of the PTA. We still need parents/grandparents to support our PTA by donating the yearly membership fee. It’s only $5.00 for the year and there are many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. The funds have go along way!
