Finish Strong!

Students,

We are so close to the end of the year. We encourage you to buckle down & finish strong! You have worked so hard this year. After school, Wildcat Intervention is still happening on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the library if you need extra time/help starting at 2:45PM.

It's great to be green!

Welcome to Motivation Week! For our 9th-11th graders that need to master their course to complete their school year. For every green screen (finished course) a student has, they will receive a green ticket to participate in our Field Days on Thursday, May 20th & Friday, May 21st.

Chs SUmmer COmpletion Program

Columbia students who have not completed credit(s) will be invited to summer completion school which will run from June 3rd – June 30th and July 6th – July 28th. Details will be sent out to families soon, if there are additional questions, please reach out to the summer school administrator, Trevor Morris at tmorris@nsd131.org or your counselor.

What is SWOT?

You may have noticed some new signs in the main hallway and are wondering what SWOT is. Well, it is a completely student ran group that has made some wonderful resources for students, parents, and teachers to use to help everyone understand how to use summit better. More things are being added all the time such as new posts with more information, and forums allowing you to discuss questions you have, or possibly even start study sessions. If you have any questions regarding Summit, go to our website www.summitonboarding.com, or visit our new SWOT Desk near the Nurse’s office to see if there is someone there who can also help. At the moment, it is usually only 8th period, but hopefully that will change.

We are also looking for more people to join the team. You can either do it on your own time, or during school. Being at the SWOT Desk is an example of doing during school. If you have a little knowledge of Summit and would like to help your fellow students, please fill out an application on our website and speak with you counselor to make sure you will be able to commit (especially if you want to make a period as an internship where you stay at the SWOT Desk). You will receive internship credits if you show up to meetings and do a little work for the team. You can also speak with our advisors, Mrs. Stevenson and Mr. Woolstenhulme, but he may be busy.

Don’t worry, we did the hard part. Everything is already there. You will mainly be there for support, as well as adding things we did not think of, if you would like.
