Holy Name Catholic School is seeking a part-time library director

The library serves preschool through 8th grade students. This position will include, but not be limited to,

· assisting students and faculty in locating books and resources

· evaluating library inventory needs and ordering new materials

· keeping track of library materials using the computerized Alexandria library system

· the ability to work independently

· read books aloud to lower elementary classes

· manage the library budget

· manage the Accelerated Reader program

· the ability to interact with parents in routine situations requiring tact, discretion and courtesy

· supervising library volunteers

· planning the yearly book fair.

This is a non-contracted, part-time school year position. Flexible schedule of about 15 hour per week. Associates degree or higher is preferred.

Baby James Robert Gabriel Sampson was born on Wednesday, November 3rd. His parents are Josh and Stephanie Sampson. Stephanie works at Holy Name as the teacher for our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for the young children. Join us in prayers of thanksgiving for this beautiful boy!

Looking for extra help!

Holy Name is in need of substitute teachers. Can you help? This is a paid position and you have all the flexibility you'd want. You can let us know if you only want to help at certain times or help in certain classes. We have some amazing people already, but we want to make sure that we have enough substitutes on the list. Stop in the office and we are happy to answer all your questions.

Lunch menu may change during the week

In order to ensure that we can provide meals to your children every day, it may be necessary at times to change the menu, with short notice, based on availability. We take great pride in the work that we do and we will do everything we can to ensure that the kids get a quality meal. We appreciate your trust in us and we thank you for your understanding. Make sure you are on the "Remind" system so you get the latest updates. Daily, please bring a water bottle to school

Please send a waterbottle with your child so that they will not need to use cups to get water throughout the day. It has been a challenge to keep them in stock at the school.

Advent Program

The Holy Name Catholic School Advent Program will be on Tuesday, December 21st at 9:30am here at the school.

Show your Holy Name spirit! Attached you will find two order forms for Holy Name apparel from KCL Embroidery & Kreations and Meier's Signs. If you would like to order any items please fill out the form and return to the office. We also have a Sprit Store cabinet located in the hallway by the chapel that has many items in stock. If you would like to check it out please stop in the office to get a key.

Mass at Holy Name Catholic School

The students at Holy Name will celebrate Mass weekly on Thursdays. Out of an abundance of caution, we will not be able to invite any community members in to join us for Mass. We will zooming Mass if you would like to join us virtually.
