Senior Grading Timeline
EOY 2021-2022
Beaumont Independent School District
Grades Due & Finalized
All teacher grades, including Exam 2 grades, must be posted and finalized in TEAMS by 8:00 a.m. on the campus' established due date - see chart above. (Campuses may set an earlier time). Be mindful that exemptions do not negate an Exam 2 grade entry. If teachers miss the established grade entry deadline and/or grade corrections are required after the cut-off, teachers must submit all necessary corrections in writing to the Registrar/grading clerk no later than 10:00am on the due date. Note: Gradebooks may temporarily lock for senior grade processing.
After grades are posted and finalized, Counselors/Registrars/Clerks must run a Student Failure Listing Report to identify any missing and blank grades, for both 3rd & 4th Nine Weeks and EX2, to ensure all grades have been entered TEAMS.
Counselors/Registrars/Clerks must follow up with teachers for grade changes and to correct missing or blank grades in the Grade File.
Corrections & Error Reports
Counselors/Registrars/Clerks must complete grade corrections and manual entry of grades in the Grade File by 12 Noon on the campus' designated date - see chart above. Remember: AV2 will not calculate if there is an NG, I or blank for the 3rd or 4th Nine Weeks or EX2. All grades must be accounted for in TEAMS, so it is best to begin this process as early as possible.
As soon as all entries are complete, email TEAMS Support teams@bmtisd.com to begin the averaging process. Note: Grade Averaging is processed in first come, first serve order. The averaging process takes time. The sooner corrections and are completed, the sooner Student Services can return error reports.
After averaging, Student Services will email an error report to each campus. Each campus is responsible for making corrections to any errors, applying any grade changes and recalculating the averages. Again, the campus recalculates averages after applying any grade changes or updates.
Once the averages are complete and verified, the counselor/registrar/clerk enters an asterisk grade (i.e. *90) in the S2 column to no-grade students for excessive absences as applicable. (Check with the Attendance Administrator on the campus for rosters and procedures)
Report Card Distribution
When the no-grade process is completed, the campus emails TEAMS Support – teams@bmtisd.com to spool report cards and email the file to the campus for printing, review and insertion into the Senior Packet.
Note: The campus is responsible for double-checking and resetting next year lines as applicable for any students being retained as well as providing summer school information.
