Blaze Bulletin
Edition 19 Week of February 12
Greetings...
Teachers and staff,
“Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.”
—Dr. Mae Jemison, first African-American female astronaut
I think this idea is one reason BHS is successful. You dream big. And you model dreaming big for our students. You know there is no limit to how much our kids can grow and achieve. I'm in awe of what you do every day, and I wanted to take this moment to simply thank you.

Twitter PD chats -- How it works:
Date: 2/13/18 7-8 pm
- To get 1 hour PD credit teachers must stay active in the chat the whole hour. They must answer all of the questions that are pushed out and use the hashtag #rcstechchat which connects them to the chat. They also have to fill out the form at the end.
- Each twitter chat (if teachers fully participate) will give 1 hour of PD credit. Teachers can only get 3 total hours from chats. After that it will just be for professional growth, no more than 3 hours will be given.
- These chats WILL NOT be on school station. Participants will just join in on twitter. Chats start promptly at 7pm with a few moments of introductions to give people time to join in.
- This is open to all certified RCS teachers no matter their grade and/or position.
- When the chat ends two Instructional Technology Coaches will "Storify" the chat which gives us a log to reference. We will make sure participants were active and answering the questions and cross reference with the form at the end.

Reminders
- Due to the vast majority of testing being online this year, the computer labs are in high demand. Here is some important information in regards to them:
- If the labs are blocked out for Admin or testing they are in use, even though they may look empty, due to software installations/updates, etc. that has to be done.
- All computer lab doors should be closed and locked when not in use. There should be no unsupervised students in any computer lab at any time.
- Computer Labs and COWS: Please make sure that you are cleaning up the computer lab after use. This includes putting trash in the trash can, making sure students are logged off, cleaning off whiteboards, plugging in laptops, and plugging in the laptop carts to charge. Remember you find any issues with computers please submit a work order to bhswo@rcschools.net
- Office Printers and Canon Copiers: Please remember to make your copies on the Canon Copier or Riso on not the Lexmark printers.
