Put First Things First

Work first, then play....

Principal Welcome

New year to: Find Your Greatness!

Dr. Wendy Kerr, Principal

It is hard to believe we are already closing our third week into the school year and celebrating Live Oak's 25th Anniversary! Where has the time gone? Back to School Night was a huge success and we are ready to partner with all of our families to ensure our students succeed. As you might have noticed, we have many new and wonderful faces on the LOE team this year. Mrs. Porter and I want to welcome all of our new team members and recognize what an honor it is to be surrounded by such talented and accomplished professionals! Welcome to all of our new LOE families as well, we know you are going to love attending the best school in FUESD!

We are excited to continue our work with The Leader in Me, as well as a variety of other programs or initiatives including: PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System), Safe School Ambassadors, GATE, Band, Art, Team Advantage (intervention), Lexia Core 5, ST Math, Leadership Data Notebooks, growing technology opportunities, as well as our new STEM program, lab (with teacher), just to name a few. Each initiative or program is designed to create a safe, rigorous, and engaging learning climate in which all students are valued, feel connected to the school community, and are accomplishing their learning/academic goals.

As we continue this journey in bolstering our leadership skills as a L.O.E. family, we want to take this opportunity to invite you; the parents, families, and community members to partner with us and "FIND YOUR GREATNESS"! I look forward to the partnership and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (760) 731-4430.
