In 1935 the numbers of laws took away from Jews of German citiztionship. In 1936 jews were not allowed to perticepate in elections. Signs were read jews not welcomed. In 1938 on October 28, 17,000 Jews of Polish citizenship many of whom had been living in Germany for almost there whole lifes and were arrested and sent to relocation camps.
REASON WHY IT STARTED
The whole reason for Kristallnacht was because of a young man named Herchel age 17. He had found out that his family had been deported forcely over the boarders of Poland. He was furious so he was going to assinate the German ambssador but settltwed for less on the 3rd secretary Ernst Vam Rath. Rath died 2 days later and that gave a man named Joseh Gebbels the excuse to launch the program called Kristallnacht.
KRISTALLNACHT
Kristallnacht was a program that lasted 4 broutal dalys against the Jews of Germany. It began with small local anti-Jewish riots in smaller towns. Then got more serious and on the nights November 9th and 10th rampaging mobs freely attacked jews in the streets and in there homes where they worked and worshiped.
THE DESTRUCTION DONE
After the nights were over all that was left was the destruction of broken and devistated hearts. About 96 Jews were killed 100 injured, 1,000 of there churches were burned and almost 7,500 Jewis businesses were destoyed. Even cemeteries and schools were vandilized. About 30,000 Jews were arrested and sent to concentration camps. These were just some of the events that lead to the Holucost.
