Did you know that polar bears are acually not white?! They have oily fur and it is water repellent, they have wide paws, rough pads and black skin, sharp medium sized claws and sharp teeth.

Canda , Russia , Greenland , Norway and the Artic are places that polar bears live. In these places there is alot of snow so the adult polar bear can make their den. Where they live it is -30 degrese, THATS COLD!

Polar bears are not fussy with what they eat. They will eat seals, fish, eggs, birds and berries. Polar bears eat their food in big chunks and do not chew much. If they can not get the usual then they will eat about anything!

There are a lot of threats to the polar bear. The main threat to the polar bear is climate change because if it gets to hot then all the ice will melt and the polar bear will have no where to go. Toxic pollution , oil and gas, and hunting are other threats.

Did you know that polar bears have a GREAT sense of smell? Also they are usually slow to stay warm but when they want to catch their prey they are fast! There are 20,000-25,000 polar bears left in the world! The polar bear cubs are born blind and deaf. Also polar bears aren't actually white, they have black skin. WOW that’s instesting!

Polar bears are great animals. Don't kill them and use their fur it is terrible. It should be illegal to kill or hunt them for fur!
