Dolly the sheep was the first successful cloned mammal. Dolly was born on July 5, 1996. She was produced after 277 attempts.
Definition of the word "Cloning"
The definition of the word "Cloning" is to make an identical copy. It originated from Greece. , it's the process of producing similar populations of genetically identical individuals that occurs in nature when organisms such as bacteria, insects or plants reproduce asexually.

History of cloning
Cloning is nothing new, in fact its been going on for more than 100 years. Dolly the sheep is probably the first thing that comes to mind when people think about cloning, because many believe she was the first cloned animal. The truth is, the first animal to be cloned was a sea urchin in 1885.
