HAPPY TEACHER & STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK!
Staff,
This week is Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week and we want to share how much we appreciate you!!! Check out our EMOJI-NAL Appreciation Card, for a few little treats to help make your week special!
Like many things right now, Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week feels quite a bit different than ever before. However, our appreciation for you has not changed. Who else could change their entire teaching style to remote teaching over Spring Break with no prior notice? Who else could be the positive and calm voice of familiarity to our students and our families during these times of social distancing? Who else could continue to teach, love, inspire, and make connections with our students remotely through this unprecedented time? Only you can.
From all of us at HPES, we appreciate you, you matter, and you are "essential"!
Thank you for all you do for our Highland Park Bulldogs!
As always, try your best to stay home, and keep yourself and your family healthy!
Warm Regards,
Lizbeth Ruiz

PFISD HOME PACKAGE DELIVERY PROTOCOL
It is our nature as educators to be nurturers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it is important to be nurturing in a manner that keeps our families at school and our families at home safe. Not succumbing to our “typical” nurturing nature will be paramount when delivering packages to our students’ homes. It is imperative to adhere to the following protocol.

PfISD LIMITED HOME VISITS PROTOCOL
What are Limited Home Visits?
“Limited Home Visits” will be made to recapture students that the campus has not been able to contact. These home visits are a last resort to finding these families. An Attendance Specialist will be accompanied by another staff member.
“Limited Home Visits” are defined as official school business home visits conducted by full time staff members (attendance specialists, safety & security personnel, feeder and campus-level support staff, etc.) for the Pflugerville ISD, that are scheduled, coordinated and conducted only as a last resort measure to recapture students and their parent/legal guardian who have not responded to several school communications via phone, email, or by any other technological means.
Please click on link and read the ENTIRE Protocol Document.

***If you have any students picking up a packet, you will need to pre-record yourself teaching the lesson and send this out to their parents.
***If your students are doing online learning (not packets), please make sure to either Pre-record yourself teaching the lesson and make it available to them , or offer a live lesson. Remember live lessons are not required.
****Please save any pre-recorded lessons in your teams folder so that other members of your team can access, or other grade levels can get ideas.
*** If you are having live zoom lessons, please invite the administrator assigned to you grade level to your meeting. We may not be able to attend, but we will try and pop in when we can.
