JH/HS Weekly Update
It's a great day to be a Bluejay!
Fresh Start
The first dance of the year has been announced; you can see the info for that below.
We would like to remind students and make parents aware:
When students attend home games, there will no longer be re-entry. Audience/ students should stay inside where there is supervision.
Murray State University will have a rep here during homeroom on September 30. Students can sign up with Mrs. Schroeder to come talk with them.
LUNCH ACCOUNTS
NOTICE:
We apologize for confusion regarding a lunch balance email/letter/phone call.
In identifying negative lunch balances, a system error sent notifications to many families.
Please check your lunch balances and disregard this notification if your balance is in the positive.

Our Fans
PEP Rally!!!
We enjoyed our first Pep Rally of the year which will continue monthly. Our students sang along to our Oak Ridge School Song, cheered on our teams, participated in a little friendly competition, and got hyped for the upcoming games.
MUSIC
Come support the Oak Ridge High School Band at the Altenburg Fair parade! September 23, 2022 - the parade begins at 1:30pm. We are a drumline this year!
Oak Ridge bands are having a fundraiser to raise funds for various band instrument/music needs. We are selling butter braids (so yummy), cookie dough, and pizzas through Show Me Dough. These are great items to have for the holidays!
There are two ways to sell/order:
- Online - click the link. All the students' names are listed and people can order from them just by clicking their name and submitting their order.
- Paper forms: these have not arrived yet but will be sent home when they do!
The online ordering is live and the fundraiser will end on October 27. 40% of every item purchased goes directly to us!
Below is a flyer with a QR code to order.
The items will be delivered to the school a week or two after October 27 (I will have an exact date when it gets closer). Students will get their items and deliver them to the people who ordered them. They will definitely be here before Thanksgiving break!
This was a great fundraiser for us last year and I'm looking forward to it this year as well.
