What's Happening at the Childcare
Some of our teachers have been coming in over the past week to work on cleaning the center while it's closed. They will continue next week also. Most of these jobs are done weekly, but this is a chance to do them more thoroughly. Here are some of the projects they have been working on:
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all toys and blocks, washing dress-up clothes, sanitizing shelves and containers.
- Wiping down the walls
- Painting projects to freshen the room up a little
- Washing waterbottles and toothbrushes in the dishwasher
- Washing all Roly Poly cups and bottles in the dishwasher
- Machine washing curtains
- Scrubbing chairs, tables and cots
- Machine washing dolls, puppets, stuffed animals, and most of the baby room toys
- Wiping down books and puzzles
- Commercial carpet cleaning
- Deep cleaning the floors
- Changing out the sensory tubs (ie. cornmeal, rice, playdough, etc.)
- Cleaning and sanitizing the children's cubbies
What We Need From You
The teachers have bagged up the items left in your child's cubby. You can take that bag with you on the first day we re-open. We ask that you bring all new items with you on that same day to exchange with the bagged items. Those items include:
- extra clothes
- nap/rest time items

- Khan Academy: Online learning in math, science, and literacy for all age groups. Standards-aligned. Free.
