Flag Football Team!

Thank you to our coaches Mr. Casey and Mr. Tucker for holding tryouts and putting together a stellar team! Go Eagles! Friendly reminder to all that students on any athletic team must maintain a 90% positive dojo for the week before they can participate in a game. This may be a HUGE incentive for some of our squirrelly students. (o:

Welcome Ms. Brooke!

As many of you know, Ms. Brooke, our new ES Art teacher began last week. Let's all welcome her!

Delicious Data!

Now that we have completed 5 weeks of school, we will begin pulling data reports from our various programs. We know that MAP is still under weigh but please remember it must be completed by Sept. 23. Please let us know if you need support getting MAP completed. As for other programs (K-8), Iready and Achieve 3000, students should have completed those assessments and should now be moving into a regular usage routine. Please make sure you've allotted time during your targeted group structures/workshop time to ensure students are getting the time they need for these programs to be effective.

Writer's Workshop PD Follow-Up

THANK YOU so much to our Elementary team for their GREAT participation in last week's PD. You all were engaged and represented our school very well. Thank you for the thoughtful reflections. We will do our best to get you some answers to burning questions you still have. A few other things to remember:

1) You must have 45 minutes of Writer's Workshop a day. If you do not, please make sure to go back to your schedule and adjust accordingly. We are currently making a master schedule of when writing instruction is taking place so we can provide support during those specific times.

2) Remember to keep mini-lessons "mini" -- try using a timer to help you with your pacing as it can be easy to turn "mini's" into "maxis"
