Veterans Day Celebration: Nov. 11th at 8:00AM

We will host a Veterans Day program on Nov. 11th at 8:00 AM and would like to invite veterans and families to join us. Please complete this RSVP if you are able to come.

We would also like to honor our Veterans by showcasing them at school and during the program. If you have a veteran you would like to honor, please complete this form and email it to Leigh.dufeau@leanderisd.org or you can print it and bring it to school. Please send it in by Nov. 3rd so we can add it to the slideshow.

Tarvin Giving Tree

Starting November 11, PTA is partnering with the Hill Country Christmas Bureau (HCCB) to provide gifts for children in need across Leander ISD this holiday season. Starting next Thursday, during Literacy Night, please stop by our Tarvin Giving Tree, to pick up a donation card to sponsor a child/toy donation. All gifts will be due by December 9 in front of the tree. We’ll then share them with the HCCB for preparation and delivery!

You may turn in your donation next to our Giving Tree (see labeled box) as well as purchase items via their Amazon wishlist. We just ask that those who donate through Amazon, to please type what campus they are donating from so we are better able to keep track of our campus donations.

Cards will be available on a first come first serve basis.

Turkey Trot: Nov. 12th

We are so excited to invite you to “trot” along with your student(s) in Tarvin’s First Annual Turkey Trot on November 12th! Come take on the obstacles together or cheer your student(s)

on from the sideline. We are looking forward to bringing the community together and celebrating our health going into the holiday season.

In addition, volunteers will be needed to help our race run smoothly. We will need race monitors and people to run the water stand. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this Google Form. ALL volunteers and spectators will need to check into the office on the day of the Turkey Trot for a visitors pass. Please fill out this Google Form to RSVP for a visitor pass.

Run times for all grade levels will be during their regular Innovation times:

2nd: 8:55-9:45am

Thanksgiving Lunch

We were hopeful that we could invite our families to join us for Thanksgiving Lunch. Due to limited staff in our CNS Department, we are only able to provide lunch for our Tarvin students. In addition, out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of all our students and staff, we will not be permitting visitors to come for our Thanksgiving lunch on November 19th. Thank you so much for understanding! We do have a sign-up for some volunteers to help serve. https://signup.com/go/xPYTgys

Leander Clothes Closet

The Leander Clothes Closet is a critical resource that provides gently used school clothing and brand-new underwear and socks to our students residing in our school district. This month, we’d love your help collecting the following items the LISD Clothes Closet has said are urgently needed.

· Girls 2t/3t undies

· Boys 2t/3t undies

· Women's Undies (X-small)

· Women's Undies (Small)

· Men's Boxer Briefs (Small - no white)

· Men's Boxer Briefs (Medium - no white)

· Men's Boxer Briefs (Large - no white)

You may bring your donations to the front office.

Career Fair: Nov. 19th

Tarvin Elementary is so excited to announce our first-ever Career Day on November 19th from 8-9:30! We want our students to explore possible careers and get a real picture of careers in our community. We cannot do this without your help! We would love to have you volunteer your time and educate our students about your career/job. Every job is important! You can participate in our Career Day live via a 15-minute zoom presentation, or pre-record a 10-minute video, whichever works for you! If you are interested, please contact us and we will give you all the details! Please help give our students a glimpse of all of the wonderful career options out there for them! We look forward to hearing from you, just fill out the form below and I will be in contact! You may forward this information to other community members as well if you know someone who might be interested in participating. Thank you for your support!
