School Supply Donation
If you did not pre-pay for school supplies in the spring, please make a $45 donation for classroom supplies or donate the full list of supplies found here. A $45 donation will allow us to buy in bulk saving everyone money. Donations will be accepted in the front office or using the online payment portal at https://athenscityal.csiepay.com
All students will also need a backpack. All Kindergarten students will need a cloth rest mat available for purchase in the school office for $25.
Kindergarten Phase-In
Athens City Schools will use a “Phase-In” schedule for kindergarten students during the first four days of school. The schedule is listed below.
Thursday, August 30 ― All Kindergarten students attend from 7:45 am to 11:00 am
Friday, August 31 ― 1/3 of kindergarten students attend from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm
Tuesday, September 4 ― 1/3 of kindergarten students attend from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm
Wednesday, September 5 ― 1/3 of kindergarten students attend from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm
Thursday, September 6 - All kindergarten students will begin attending school from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm
Please contact the front office at 256-233-6627 if your kindergarten student has not received their phase-in schedule.
Bus Rider Information
Latchkey Information
We are pleased to offer Latchkey services this year. The cost is $5.00 per day from 3:00-5:00 pm. All students must be picked up by 5:00 to avoid additional charges. If you are interested in taking advantage of this service, please complete the form linked below.

Golden Eagle Spirit Ribbon Sale
Our AHS Varsity Cheerleaders will come to SPARK Academy to sell spirit ribbons on the Wednesday or Thursday before each home football game. Spirit ribbons cost $0.50 except Homecoming ribbon which will cost $1.00.
The dates of spirit ribbon sales are listed below:

September 11 and 13: Grandparents come and read with their grandchild during library time (more information in upcoming Info Blast)

October 4: Golden Eagle pep rally at SPARK Academy (time TBA)
October 8: no school - professional learning day
October 18: Class picture/Fall picture retake (uniform required)
October 15-19: SPARK Week (book fair/parent conference week)
November 6: SPARK Showcase
