Car brakes
Brakes are used to stop and slow down. You can stop at any given time, like traffic lights and stop signs. It's better for the car if you have your foot on the brake when you start it. you also apply pressure to the brake pedal to park and slow down. There are two types of brakes on a car, the normal brake and the emergency brake. The emergency brake is used to stop instantly, while the normal brake only slows down the car. (picture via)
