Tennessee Alternative Education Association Annual Conference
A large percentage of our teachers spent two days networking with other alternative school educators from around the state, sharing strategies for implementing new Common Core standards, and working to find ways to help all students succeed. This beneficial conference was organized by the TAEA Board, which includes Mr. Farris, the SWA Middle School Science Teacher.

Rutherford County Technology Institute
Several SWA teachers, including Mr. Carroll, Ms. Porter, and Mrs. Messerly, attended the Technology Institute to learn new ways to incorporate technology into their classes.
