Scholastic Book Fair @RPM
Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are.
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.
Book Fair dates: December 6-10, 2021
Student Shopping hours: Regular scheduled library periods
Online Shopping: We invite you to visit our online Book Fair at scholastic.com/fair. Our Online Fair is available from December 6 to December 17. The online book fair is also a great suggestion to friends and family members wondering what gifts to buy. What better gift, than to help a child build their own personal library!
Classes Record for Holiday Program
Students are allowed to wear festive attire (holiday colors) for their class video.
Please continue to have you scholar practice their class song.
You can find the words and music on the Class’ DoJo page.
We will be releasing the full holiday production before we break for the holidays!
RPM Spelling Bee
All classroom spelling bee winners will compete in the campus Spelling Bee on Friday, December 10. Our students have studied hard through the classroom spelling bees, and now they are challenged to represent their homerooms in the school-wide Bee.
- First & Second Grades- 9:00a.m.
- Third - Fifth Grades- 2:00p.m.
All students are asked to wear black and gold in support of our spelling bee participants. Best wishes to each of our students. Happy Spelling!
3rd & 4th Grade Scholars to see The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Lancaster Middle School Tiger Theatre Department is performing, “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” and have invited our 3rd and 4th grade students to attend. The play will be performed at the Lancaster Middle School Auditorium on December 9, 2021 from 9:30am-11:00am. School buses will transport students from their home campuses to the middle school and return for the lunch period. Permission slips were sent home on Friday. Please sign and return the permission slip in order for your child to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to expose our students to fine arts performances, in hopes that they will develop their own creativity in years to come.
Please note: There will be an evening performance on December 10th at 6:30pm for the entire LancasterISD family to enjoy! Admission is free and we would love for you to socially distance and mask up while you enjoy the show.
RPM Toy Drive Challenge: Grade Levels Compete for a Pizza Party!
Rosa Parks/Millbrook is hosting a toy drive
for the boys and girls at Children’s Medical Center. We
are asking that you donate a new, unwrapped toy for a
boy or girl to help us brighten their spirits this holiday
season. Several of our grade levels have decided to make is a competition to see which class donates the most toys. Unwrapped, new toys can be placed in the toy box at the front office or given to your child's teacher. The in-school drive ends on Friday. There will be a community drive through on Saturday, December 11th as well from 9:00-11:00.
Donations will go to support students at Children's Medical Center in support of lupus and sickle cell anemia. Thank you for teaming with us as we continue to build children, character, and community every day.

#WeAreOne: Building Children, Character, And Community Everyday
“A hundred years from now it will not matter, what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove; but the world would be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
