Terra Nova Testing
All elementary schools in the Diocese of Orlando administer standardized achievement testing. We will administer the Terra Nova – Complete Battery achievement test along with the Terra Nova InView beginning Monday, February 24 and finishing by Tuesday, March 10.
Students in grades 2 - 8 will be testing. We test for roughly 2 hours on test days and continue a regular curriculum the remainder of the day. Students are well prepared for these tests.
Please encourage your child to take the test seriously and to do their personal best work on the test. Students should prepare for the test by
- · eating a good breakfast.
- · getting a good night's sleep.
- · remaining positive.
Stations of the Cross
We will be praying Stations of the Cross in the Church at 2 pm on Fridays during Lent. The Stations (or "Way") of the Cross are a special devotional prayer to help us to recall the tremendous love of Jesus Christ as He suffered and died for our salvation.
When is too sick for school?
- Students should stay home if they have a fever without medication or if they have thrown up or have diarrhea.
- Students may return to school following an illness if they have not taken any fever reducing medication for 24 hours, haven't had a fever for 24 hours, or haven't thrown up or had any diarrhea for 24 hours.
Please keep in mind that they are still contagious even if the medication masks the symptoms. This has been a difficult year with the flu, strep-throat, and stomach flu. Please help us keep this under control by keeping sick students at home.
Report Cards
Report Cards will come home via email and Tuesday News on Feb. 25, 2020.
You are welcome to join us for our school Masses.
We have moved our school Mass day to Wednesdays at 10 am unless there is a Feast Day Mass during the week. Parents and extended family members are welcome to join us for our Mass but must sit in the chapels away from the student body.
'Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”' Matthew 19:14
