Chippy Blond Brownies

6 tablespoons butter, softened

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped pecans



In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.


Spread into a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake 350 degrees for 25 -30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
