BUC UP date
Second Semester, Week 2
A FEW THINGS UPCOMING.........
8TH GRADE VISIT JANUARY 21ST
We plan to host our incoming 8th graders here on campus on that morning. Per Ms. O'Connors email last week, we need two things from you by the end of the day on Monday. It is an EXPECTATION that all clubs/sports/organizations have some representation for our expo in the cafe that morning. Please review her information below and make sure to complete no later than the end of the day on Monday.
1. Submit the names of those students that you would recommend as great representatives of Allatoona High School to serve as tour guides. I am happy to accept and consider the names of any students (10-12 grade) who are outgoing, positive, enthusiastic and proud to call themselves Buccaneers!
2. If you are a coach, club sponsor or an elective teacher, we will need you to create a poster, pamphlet or some other table presentation for the expo fair that will take place in the cafeteria on this day. (We can reuse these for 8th grade parent night in February as well.) Submit the names of 1-2 students for your activity who would be able to “man” your table and promote your program and answer any questions.
SECOND SEMESTER OPEN HOUSE WILL BE JANUARY 28th.
We will follow a different format than in the past. Open House will be from 5-7 and it will be a DROP IN format for parents. Look for more info to come.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Excellent schools aren't the product of perfection,
they're the product of continuous improvement
Teachers who like to use kahoot (kahoot.com) will like it…it’s very similar to kahoot, but you can have the students complete the quizzes for homework as a quick review! It’s competitive and fun! Thanks to Ms. Forbes for sharing.
