Principal and Custodian Switcheroo Day!
Storybook Pumpkin Patch
The Alward Library is growing a storybook pumpkin patch, and we need your help! Students can decorate a pumpkin to look like a favorite storybook character and bring it to the library to “plant” in our Storybook Pumpkin Patch! See the attached document for all the details!
Enchanted Forest Book Fair
You can also pre-order copies of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Meltdown. Pre-orders need to be turned in no later than Thursday Oct. 25. The book is $8.99 plus tax so the total is $9.53.

- The Alward Parent-Teacher Club is looking for parents interested in helping with activities this year. We have lots of opportunities to help, and many are outside the school day. - Once again this year, the PTC will be providing dinners for teachers during Parent Teacher Conferences. We are looking for volunteers to help provide items for the dinners. Please sign up here if you are able to help!
- Did you know that we collect Family Fare Receipts? For every $150,000 in receipts that we turn in, our school earns $1000! We are about $20,000 away from getting our first check! All you have to do is send your receipts to school with your student and we will take care of the rest! It's that easy! Thank you for supporting our school!

Halloween Parties and Costume Parade
Halloween Parties are scheduled at various times throughout the day. Please check your child's teachers blog for the time of their party! All volunteers coming into the buidling for class parties, must have a background check on file. You can complete the background check form here. PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RUN LAST MINUTE BACKGROUND CHECKS THE DAY OF THE PARTY. VOLUNTEERS WITHOUT A BACKGROUND CHECK ON FILE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN KEEPING OUR STUDENTS SAFE! The Costume Parade will be at 2pm. Parents are invited to watch the parade outside. Students will walk on the sidewalk from door T to Door O. Parents may line the sidewalk to watch the parade.

Mother Daughter Craft Time
Join friends for a ladies only event in the Alward Cafeteria. Moms and daughters will spend time creating together with the assistance of "Blondie's Designs" with jewelry making. Then enjoy a cupcake decorating demonstration with "Jenn Can Make It" to design and eat your own sweet treat. Blondie's Designs will also be showcasing new jewelry designs available for purchase on site.
$13 per couple ($6.50 for the first two tickets), $6 per additional child. Tickets can be purchased here.
*Please note that any female role model for the girls are invited! Not limited to just mothers, we welcome Aunts, Grandmothers, friends, neighbors, etc.!
