What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a conditions in which the body does not produce enough insulin that results in high sugar levels. They're are two types of diabetes, type one and type two. Type 1 diabetes is when the body produces no insulin whereas type 2 the body does not produce insulin properly.

Causes and Effects

Main Causes include
  • Genetics
  • Poor diets
  • Obesity

Effects

  • Problems with growth and development
  • Possible episodes of ketoacidosis( if levels always high)
  • Delayed puberty

Prevention and Detection

Prevention

  • Physical activity
  • Reduction of sweets and fats

Detection

  • Blood test (FPG)

Symptoms and Treatment

Symptoms include

  • Hungry of thirty a lot
  • Peeing a lot
  • Blurred vision

Treatment

  • No cure
  • Insulin injections
  • Pills
  • Lifestyle change
