Hello CV Community,


We want to thank you for an amazing school year. Your students have made us proud and given us so much to celebrate. We also want to thank you for your continued support this year. We couldn't do everything we do without our amazing Canyon View community.


This is the last community newsletter for this school year. Communication will continue as needed, and you can expect The Roar to start back up mid-July.

Important Dates:

  • May 30: Grades for the 22-23 School Year will be available in Parent/Studentvue.
  • July 31 and August 1: Jaguar Jumpstart- an opportunity for students to pay fees, register for parking, and pick up schedules.
  • August 3: Open House- Walk the campus, sign up for co-curriculars, and meet your teachers.
  • August 7: Freshman Only Day- This is the first day for freshman, an introduction to all things CVHS.
  • August 8: First Day of School for ALL!

GCU Dual Enrollment Meeting: June 6th at 4:30 pm

GCU Dual Enrollment Meeting: June 6th at 4:30 pm

Please join us virtually Tuesday, June 6th at 4:30pm to learn more about AFUHSD’s upcoming dual credit class opportunities in partnership with Grand Canyon University for the 2023-24 school year.


Dual credit courses offer AFUHSD students an opportunity to earn college credits while in high school, helping students and their families save valuable time and money. Canyon View will be offering these opportunities in Junior English III and Senior English IV.


A GCU representative will be present to talk about GCU dual enrollment, program eligibility, cost, and answer any questions you may have regarding the program or classes.

CVHS Dual Enrollment Courses offered through EMCC:

  • Algebra III
  • AP Biology
  • Anatomy & Psychology
  • AP Calculus
  • AP Statistics


*Students must register and complete the admissions process through Estrella Mountain Community College in order to receive Dual Enrollment credits (just taking one of these classes doesn't mean the the student is Dual Enrolled).
