Dear Everitt Families:

Happy Friday!

Can you believe we are halfway through October?

This week I had the privilege of helping Mr. Snyder with auditions for the musical. As I sat there watching and listening to our incredibly brave students act and sing in hopes of landing the part that they wanted, I was struck by the strength they showed in what they were doing. Each student came into the audition room with some nervousness and left with their heads just a little higher, their eyes just a little brighter and their confidence just a little stronger. So often, we are asked to do things that scare us a little and the only way out of that fear is through it. I was so proud of our students as they pushed through their fear this week -- in musical theatre and elsewhere.

Our Sources of Strength students have been working hard to plan a fun event for October. Please join us for a family Fall Festival on October 29th from 4:00-6:00. There will be games, booths, music (and maybe some dancing), costume competitions, and more. We are grateful for our student leaders and their hard work on this event. If you'd like to help, there is a link below to sign up.

This week our Theatre Guild and theatre class had a wonderful opportunity to experience live theatre at Everitt! Shakespeare in the Parking Lot through the DCPA came to Everitt on Thursday. Please enjoy the photos below.

Thank you for supporting and believing in your neighborhood school. It is our privilege to partner with you!

Please let your friends and neighbors know! At 6:30, our digital teacher librarian and family liaison will be presenting about Infinite Campus and the Campus app if you would like to stay for some tech tips!
