Welcome to the 2017/2018 school year!
We hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer and is excited to get the new school year underway.
It has certainly been a very busy summer around here at Smith and throughout our district. You will notice some changes to our building this year. Our parking lot is now complete and looks fantastic with the new design. We will have two entrances to our lot; one off of Price Ave. and the original entrance of off W. Elizabeth Street. There are now arrows directing traffic in the parking lot, please be sure to follow them for smooth traffic flow.
The construction is complete on our secure entrances, however, they won't be in full function when school begins. We will update families when that will officially take affect. The construction on the Central Office wing to Smith is also complete, the final touches on that part will be done in the coming weeks as well.
The staff here at Smith are very excited to get the new school year started. Please be sure to read this edition of our Newsletter for important beginning of the year information. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call our office at (517) 851-7735 or email me at edwardsb@panthernet.net
