Wild Spartans
Join 4-H staff as we take a look into life working with fisheries and wildlife! This month we will talk to an entomologist to learn what the buzz really is about bees! Join us on Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 at 7pm EST for "All About Honey Bees: Working with a Superorganism". We will talk about researching the pollinators of our world. You will meet MSU apiculture researcher, Ana Heck, learn about her field work, and the education and career path she followed to get there. Youth will be encouraged to ask questions to learn more through a live Q&A with scientists. This free series is open to 4-H and non-4-H youth ages 12-19 years. Monthly sessions will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm EST through May. One of our instructors is MSU Extension staff member who is deaf, fluent in ASL, and she will share her deaf experience with us and teach us new words and how to interact with deaf individuals.
This series is geared toward youth ages 9 and up. Those younger than 9 who wish to participate should be accompanied by an older sibling or parent/ guardian for support.
Please join us Wednesdays (beginning February 3rd and ending March 24th) for 90 minute sessions.
