Ms. Janjua's Grades 3-4 Art Class
January 6 - 15, 2016 | Issue 06
Salaamu Alaykum!
Wa Salaamu Alaykum,
Ms. Janjua
Throughout our unit, students will be keeping a “Gratitude Journal” in an effort to organize their daily experiences around the concept of gratitude. We will discuss, explore, reflect and hopefully learn about how intrinsically linked gratitude, beauty and art are, and how everything truly leads back to being grateful to Allah (SWT). Students will be given prompts such as “find something that makes a beautiful sound that you are grateful for,” or “find something that has been hard for you that you were ultimately grateful for” to help them consistently input journal entries each week. Throughout this process, we will begin to experience how reflecting and keeping journals is an important part of the creative process.
