READING WORKSHOP
We will begin our third unit in Reading, "Reading History." Our students will form teams to prepare for conducting research on the American Revolution.
Students' homework will reflect the skills we are focusing on in class, so your student will need to make sure they have an informational text to read at home. This includes all categories of informational text.
WRITING WORKSHOP
We will begin our third unit in Writing, "Bringing History to Life." Students will select a more focused topic within the American Revolution. They will further research this topic to develop and prepare for writing a research paper.
**Grammar Workshop!!**
We are excited to announce the arrival of our Grammar Workshop books! We will begin using them in class and at home next week, so be on the lookout for them on Monday. Lessons will be taught weekly at school, and students will be responsible for completing the corresponding workbook pages for homework. Assignments will be due on Friday and will be checked directly from the workbook, so please keep all pages intact. Students should bring their grammar workbooks to and from school daily.
