Hello, Mustangs!
Week #3 of Distance Learning has come to an end! I celebrate our students, parents, grandparents, teachers, and all of our Mustang family as together we have given 200% to our students. Thank you all!!!
Were you pranked on April Fools Day? I was so many thanks to all who kept me laughing through the day! Yes, with social distancing this was a little different! Texting seemed to be the best avenue and my 3rd grade team won "best prize" for their prank!!! Laughter is important!
Many thanks to all for your participation in our Superhero Day as we sponsored Field Day at home. The photos are awesome so please do keep sharing them!! I wonder what the favorite exercise routine was for our Mustangs??
We will continue Distance Learning after the Spring Break on Tuesday, April 14. All students will be issued a packet. Our schedule for packet pickup is:
Tuesday, April 14, 2020
8:00-10:00 a.m., or 12:00-2:00 p.m., or 4:00-6:00 p.m.
I think we all agree that social distancing comes with frustrations and lots of work in new forms and manners, but together we must maintain the focus on safety for all. We will support each other through this!
I do want to remind you to reach out to teachers, counselors, assistant principals, and me, if you have questions, concerns, or celebrations. We are here to help you!
Now, sit back, relax, refresh, and renew your energy over Spring Break!!! No packet learning as we want this to be your protected family time!!! Read fun books for building the love of reading, camp out in the backyard, go on nature walks, workout, and building in Facetiming or Skyping with loved ones that you are social distancing from for your and their safety. Grow those happy memories!!!
Best wishes for safety, good health and family love for this holiday season,
Jan Fickling
Principal of Midway Elementary
