First Annual Barktoberfest-SUCCESS!

We want to thank everyone who came out for our first annual Barktoberfest on October 19th! Despite the cold and wet weather so many of you came out to support our vet assistant program! It was a ton of fun and we raised $1600 for our program, enough for all of our Level 3 students to take their vet assistant certification exam.

FFA National Convention

This week we had 40 students attend FFA National Convention in Louisville!

Looking ahead...Mark your calendars for the Locust Trace Christmas Party!

Monday, December 9th

All Locust Trace Families are invited to attend!

Dinner will be served at 5pm. Bakery item auction will begin at 6pm.

We need lots of help with our Locust Trace Christmas party!

The FFA Alumni will be purchasing/getting a donation of either ham or turkey for dinner, but we are in need of side dishes (mashed potatoes, green beans, casseroles…etc.)!

This night will also host our FFA Alumni fundraiser of a live bakery item auction! We are asking parents/alumni to bake, make donations or solicit donations from a local business. Please communicate with before soliciting donations as we would like to keep track of whom is contacting who and not contact the same business more than once.

Survey Results-THANK YOU!

As many of you know we recently sent out two different surveys. One was to assess general knowledge of Locust Trace in the surrounding community and the other was to request feedback from our community (parents, students, partners).

We wanted to take a minute to say thank you for your time and consideration in participating in these. Your feedback is very important to us. There were lots of Frequently Asked Questions so we thought we would answer a few:

1. Class course descriptions should be on the website, uncertain which classes are offered at Locust Trace.

We are in the process of building a new website. It is still under construction so we thank you in advance for your patience. For now you can find the “bare bones” here:

2. How do I volunteer at Locust Trace?

First, you must fill out the online volunteer form here: Once approved, please notify and email the teacher whose program you would like to volunteer with here:

3. If you have any questions/concerns about how your student is doing at LT feel free to contact his/her teachers-

4. We frequently receive questions about Parent Portal.

Basic instructions can be found here: If you need additional support you can email:
