GREETINGS ICEF INNOVATION FAMILIES
Welcome to Week 34! May Character Trait is "Respect Yourself and Others"
If you think April was a busy month...get ready for May activities. There is so much to celebrate!
There are only a few weeks left until the end of the school year. Please continue to send your children to school every day and on time.
Our weekly photo above is from the "Cats" Mini Showcase" presented by View Park High School, Performing Arts Department. Our students enjoyed the performance. Be prepared for some of your children coming home and asking to see the entire performance next week at the The Miracle Theatre, Friday, 5/12 & Saturday, 5/13.
Our 3rd - 5th grade students will be participating in the SBAC testing beginning the week of May 15th. Please ensure they get plenty of rest and eat healthy. We want their minds sharp and alert for testing. We also need your assistance with donations for healthy snacks during the weeks of SBAC testing. You should have received a list of items from your child's teacher and you can always call the main office for suggestions.
Teacher Appreciation Week: This is the time when students and families come together to celebrate our hard working teachers and staff by showing their appreciation for all that they do every day to ensure your child receives a quality education. Let's show them how much we appreciation their commitment to your children.
SBAC Rally Week: This week will be our week to prepare our 3rd-5th grade students for the upcoming SBAC testing. All of the students will rally around them and encourage them to do their best every day during testing. Please ensure your child gets plenty of rest and arrives at school each day with a positive attitude and ready for testing.
Family Night: Please be sure to attend our last Family Night this year. You will get some time to meet with the teachers in the next grade level. Get information from the teachers themselves, about how to help your children be successful next year! Light refreshments and lots of important information shared with you regarding the end of the school year also. If you haven't completed the ETM survey, you will have a chance to complete it during Family night. Your feedback is ALWAYS welcomed and valued.
2023-2024 Enrollment: Our kindergarten class is closed for next year, however, we are still looking for new TK students. The eligibility deadline has been extended to April 2, 2024. If you know anyone who would like to enroll their child and they will turn 5 years old by April 2nd, please encourage them to enroll now. We have limited space open in our 1st-5th grades as well. Please call the main office if you have any questions regarding enrollment.
Meet & Greet/Orientation: This year orientation will be a family affair. Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 22nd, 9am - 1pm. This will be a day where you will be able to complete those summer packets everyone loves to do:) It is also the time to meet and greet other IILA families and staff. There will be lots of food, fun and conversation. We're excited to begin another great school year with everyone. Flyers will go home this month with more information.
Please read the entire newsletter for more IILA activities.
Have a great week.
