My Family History

My Heritage
Each side of my family is very different from one another, for I am a mixture of my ethnicities. On my dad's side of my family, I am German and Polish. My mom was adopted so we are unsure of her entire ethnicity, but from what we do know I am Yugoslavian, Hungarian, and Czechoslovakian.
Germany
On my Father's side of the family, my Grandma's relatives, The Hennes', are 100% German. They are from Alfter, Germany, which is in the dark haired region. They traveled to America in 1857 due to food shortages, and they were dissatisfied with the German government.
Poland
Also, on my father's side of the family, my Grandpa's relatives the Dreweks, are from Poland, and they are all 100% Polish. He doesn't fully remember their history, but from what we do know, they came to America are 1905-1906, and they were farmers.
Czech Republic
On my mom's side of the family, we are unsure of her full heritage or history due to the fact that she was adopted. Based on facts about immigration to America, her Czechoslovakian relatives were likely to have immigrated in the early 1900s due to the low demand for farmhands and the ongoing revolutions against their government.
Hungary
Again, we are unaware of the true history of my mother, but based on facts about Hungarian immigration, they traveled to America sporadically between the years of 1700 and 1800. Which were mainly upper class people coming for personal reasons.
Yugoslavia
Once again unaware of true history, my mother's Yugoslavian relatives most likely came to America between the years 1855 and 1911. Major reasons for immigration included fighting within the country and poor living conditions.
Hennes Family Cookbook
One amazingly interesting thing about the German side of my family (Hennes) is that we have a cookbook that has all of our family recipes from long ago, and in the beginning of the book is the story/ history of how we immigrated here. I am willing to make a copy and show you if it is something your are interested in seeing.
