New! LYNX Health Professions Program Launches at FHS
The Health Professions program is a two-year exploratory healthcare career program designed for students who want to pursue a career in the healthcare field. First-year students learn basic health care skills, introductory anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. In the second year, students specialize one of the following areas: Nurse Assisting, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting or Pharmacy Technician.
Our first cohort of 11th/12th grade LYNX scholars rocked their initial “health professional interview” presentations! The first-year courses are being taught at FHS by LYNX Advocate Kathy Koops and Health/PE teacher Ronnie Morris.
