Instructional Framework - Content Writing!!!

Here’s a strategy to teach content writing…Quick Writes!

The goal of quick writes is to process, organize, and remember information and ideas.

Think about how you could incorporate quick writes into your daily routines. Bring these ideas to our C&I PLC on Tuesday. Please watch the following video prior to Tuesday's session: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p31ZsPnNZjM

If you have examples…bring those! We would love to see how content writing happens across the school. Tuesday's session will relate directly to each of your PDPs as you have included this in your growth goals this school year! We hope you find the Tuesday afternoon session engaging and helpful as we continue to implement the GCS Instructional Framework!

Welcome Mrs. Stephanie Cook

Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Stephanie Cook as our new Kindergarten Teacher!!! Mrs. Cook will officially start at Oak Ridge on Oct. 5th (she is currently teaching Kindergarten in Forsyth County and they will be prepared to release her to start with us on Oct. 5th). She will have that week to move classrooms and prep her room and will start with her new class on Oct. 12th. Mrs. Cook is already a part of our Oak Ridge family as she is the wife of Mr. Andy Cook, who leads the Oak Ridge Summit Church. Mrs. Cook is in her 6th year of teaching and third year teaching Kindergarten. Her undergraduate teaching degree is from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro, while her Master’s degree is from North Carolina A&T University. Mrs. Cook will also bring her own two children with her to Oak Ridge and we look forward to serving their children as well.
