UPCOMING EVENTS
- Roger's Explorer Deadline is on February 7, 2020 after midnight. Any student interested in applying will need to see Mrs. Lewis.
- MSU Corps Build-A-Bed program is currently taking applications for students Pre-K through 12th grade who do not have beds to sleep on in their homes. The selected students will receive a brand new twin bed, mattress, a bedtime bag which includes a pillow, sheets, and blankets. Please understand that not all applicants will receive a bed. Applications have to be turned into the BCMS YSC by January 31st. The BCMS YSC will forward the application to MSU Corps Build-A-Program. If you have any questions contact the BCMS YSC at 674-2110.
SPORTS
- BCMS Basketball Wildcats will be in action again at home on Thursday, January 16, versus Lewis County. Good Luck Wildcats!
- Volleyball Conditioning will be held on Thursday, January 15, from 3:15-5:00. You must have a sports physical to particpate.
- Practice has begun for Varsity Girls track and it is being held at the high school concession area by the gym.
- BCMS Baseball Tryouts will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 10:00 am-1:00pm here at the middle school. Please bring your glove and tennis shoes. If you don't have a sports physical on file you can not try out.

SCHOOL NEWS
- Congratulations to Jordan Swartz, Katelyn Parish, and Twyla Wilson for making the All-District Band. They will perform with other students selected from 16 surrounding counties at the Paramount Arts Center in January 18.
- STLP is offering a technology Help desk for teachers, staff, and students who need help with technology issues. Teachers and staff please check your email for a form that you can fill out anytime you need tech help.
- Any 7th or 8th Grade Beta Member interested in going to the Beta Convention on January 22-24 needs to see Ms. Ballman for more information packet.
- 2020 Yearbooks are on sale! Cost is $25.00. Please see Mrs. Colwell if you would like to purchase a yearbook.
- 4-H Applications can be picked up in the YSC
- Ms. Moriarity is offering Academic Practice after school today, tomorrow, and Friday in the anticipation of the District Governor's Cup tournament at Powell County Middle School. The team needs to wear their team shirts and be at school on Saturday morning by 7:00 am.
- Anyone attending the Archery Competition at Rose Hill this Saturday needs to return their transportation and permission form to Ms. Ballman.
