Pop Tab Collection Challenge Results

For the month of September RCAEOP collected pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House. The 3rd floor at the Richland Two District Office challenged the first floor to a pop-tab battle! At last week's meeting, we tallied the results and...

3rd Floor WON!!

Congratulations to the R2 3rd floor for going above and beyond in collecting! I hear 1st floor has decided to challenge 3rd floor for another exciting round!

**All pop tabs collected at this point will be donated to SCAEOP's pop tab collection drive.**

RCAEOP Member spotlight of the month

Vickie McIntyre!!

Let's get to know our member..

How long have you been a RCAEOP Member?

11 years

That's great, where are you originally from?

Sharon, PA.

I'd love to hear about the journey that led you here.

I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and have been married to my high school sweetheart, Michael a retired Army soldier for 40 years this December. Together we have resided in Texas, Georgia, Indiana, and Germany. We have three adult children and we love spending time with their children. I have been with Richland School District Two for over twenty years. I love offering support to our schools and community in my role as Executive Assistant to the Senior Chief of Finance and Operations. I enjoy being part of the Educational Officer Professional Organizations and have served as treasurer for both RCAEOP, SCAEOP, and the former Mid-Atlantic Area of NAEOP. I earned my designation as Certified Educational Office Employee in 2015 and recertified in 2020.

We are lucky to have you! What are your passions?

I use to say I was passionate about my work. But as I get older, I'm finding the greatest joy in my Family, Friends, and Faith. Spending quality time and making memories with my family & friends is good for both my soul and my heart. Together with my husband, I love to travel and attend concerts and sporting events. We are die-hard Chicago Cubs and USC Gamecock fans.

Community Service Projects

Prisma Health-Midlands Child Life Program

The Child Life program provides activities to children staying in the hospital for long-term illnesses.

At the end of October, Prisma Health-Midlands Child Life Program is hosting a reverse trick-or-treating opportunity. Instead of the children going door to door, candy will be delivered by the child life specialists and other hospital staff to the children's rooms. The program is accepting new costumes for the children to wear. After all, what child doesn't like to dress up in a Halloween costume?! All sizes are appreciated as well as goodies to provide for the trick-or-treating experience.

We will collect:

  • New costumes
  • Candy & other goodies

Please try and have anything donated prior to October 25th. Contact Vickie McIntyre at vmcintyr@richland2.org for pick-up assistance. After October 25th you may still contribute costumes to Vickie for the hospital. They can use them for other activities throughout the year.
