NBES: Principal's Perspective
Moving from Ordinary to Extraordinary one learner at a time
New Years Resolution
Moving forward into 2015, we will begin to look at how our school functions socially. This is an area we will need your help as family members. My goal for 2015-2016 is to establish school wide behavior expectations. I started the process by implementing monthly school wide meetings to showcase strategic areas that all students can excel at and easily identify as what makes not only a successful student, but also a great person. Our next step will be to meet and develop a survey of what you feel is necessary to have the best school environment. I feel very strongly in having the goal to say we have the best school academically and socially and develop a sense of pride in all areas of what we do and how we present ourselves. This will not be an easy task. Please let me know if you are interested in helping us begin the process to develop a model of excellence.
Over the past 4 months, I have truly developed an appreciation for the esteem in which the community holds our school. I feel it is essential for our school to develop a stronger community outreach program. What will this look like? We want to engage the community and offer learning nights, pajama reading parties, make it take it nights, Donuts with Dads, community reading buddy days, Legos in the library, and other day and night programs. These events will create the essential connections that will lead our students to strive for success!
I am looking for amazing people that will help ordinary children do extraordinary things. I feel very strongly about 2015 and would love your input and help as we move forward!..........Happy New Year!!!
